This comes after the BJP’s Bengal chief, Sukanta Majumder, wrote a letter Union Home Minister Amit Shah. The letter was about the “recent violence perpetrated on the Ram Bhaktas, general Hindu people and our leaders and workers during the Ram Navami processions”.

“Yesterday evening there was heavy stone pelting in rail stations in Hooghly district for which train services were suspended and this could not be continued without the support of the ruling party of West Bengal i.e., the TMC and its top leadership,” Sukanta Majumdar wrote.
