Ranchi: Money laundering accused IAS officer Pooja Singhal and her husband Abhishek Jha have submitted their passports to the PMLA special court today after returning from Singapore, where they had travelled for their daughter’s medical treatment.

Court Had Granted Seven-Day Permission

Special PMLA Judge Yogesh Kumar had on May 4 granted Pooja Singhal and Abhishek Jha permission to travel to Singapore for seven days. They were required to return by May 31 and submit their passports to the court within one week of their return, a condition they have now fulfilled.

Why They Travelled to Singapore

The couple had filed a petition stating that their daughter suffers from a serious neurological condition called Large Cerebral Arteriovenous Malformation, with medical reports indicating progressive vision loss and recurring focal seizures. As doctors at AIIMS and Fortis Hospital had recommended different treatment approaches, expert consultation abroad was considered necessary.
