IEEE Systems Council chapter opens at NIT Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, Sept 13: The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Systems Council opened its new chapter at the Adityapur-based NIT Jamshedpur.

The IEEE Systems Council is the world’s largest technical professional organization dedicated to advancing technology for the benefit of humanity.

Its membership includes engineers, scientists and allied professionals along with computer scientists, software developers, information technology professionals, physicists, medical doctors and many others.

System Council is an important institution with a commitment to promote technological excellence.

It is seen as providing every student an opportunity to face complex challenges and lead innovation.

Director of NIT Jamshedpur, Prof. Gautam Sutradhar said, “We find ourselves at the crossroads of a rapidly evolving technological landscape. Our world is changing, and it’s changing fast. The systems that underpin our modern society, the systems that enable us to communicate, travel, access information, and even control our homes, are becoming increasingly complex and interconnected.”

K Namrata, faculty counsellor, Department of Electrical Engineering, NIT, thanked the IEEE Systems Council Student Branch Chapter at NIT Jamshedpur and said that the aim is to promote research, innovation and collaboration in systems engineering as it will provide a platform for students to enhance their technical skills and stay updated with the latest developments in the field.
