Ranchi, April 7: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ranchi has invited applications for admissions in PhD (fulltime) and Executive PhD, along with MBA in HR. The last date for applying for MBA (HR) is April 10, while the same for PhD applicants is April 15.
As per the programme in-charge of the Doctorate programme in IIM, Ranchi, Dr Amit Malik, the difference between PhD (fulltime) and Executive PhD is that in case of PhD full time candidates will be a full time course wherein students will have to reside in campus and will be provided several facilities including housing, food and even a stipend of up to Rs 30000 – Rs 35000. Meanwhile, the Executive PhD course is for those already working not looking for a full time course or stipend. These students will also have to pay for their courses.
In case of full time PhD courses, we offer in campus programmes, several other grants including laptop grants, contingency grant, medical insurance, rent free accommodations, married accommodations, etc.
Areas of specialization available at XISS Ranchi for PhD include Accounting and Finance; Economics; General Management – Business Law, Business Ethics, Regulatory Environment and Business Communication; Information Systems and Business Analytics; Marketing Management; Organisational Behavior & Human Resource Management; Operational Management and Strategic Management.
The application fee for SC/ST/Differently abled persons is Rs 500 in case of PhD (fulltime), while for others it is Rs 1000. Meanwhile application fee for Executive PhD for SC/ST/Differently abled persons is Rs 1000, while for others the same is Rs 2000. Candidates have also been urged to carefully fill out the online application form after which they are instructed to take out a print out of the same.
Meanwhile, IIM, Ranchi, has also invited applications for MBA in HR Management for its 11th batch of 2022-2024 programme, claiming that it is the first time that any IIM has introduced a two-year course for the same.
The institute also offers 60+ internal faculty along with classroom interactions with veterans in various domains of HR, real life case studies and lectures by coveted faculties.
