Jamshedpur, Aug 25: IIM Ranchi in association with Samvaad, a tribal conclave enabled by Tata Steel Foundation (TSF) will organise an Indigenous Film Festival at IIM Ranchi auditorium on August 26 and 27 ( 3 to 7 pm).
Through seven incredible films, dance performances and a storytelling session, the festival is packed with enriching content and insightful discussions with directors.
Different experts would be present in the audience to engage in dialogue along with a host of delegates willing to participate in open discussions on the socially relevant issues faced by people in Jharkhand.
The festival is open to all and entry is free. A spokesperson of the management school said all audiences are invited to the IIM Ranchi new campus.
Day 1 would showcase films- by renowned directors Meghnath and Biju Toppo like Gadi Lohardaga Mail, Srishtikatha & Naachi se Baanchi along with a cultural performance.
Day 2 would showcase films by upcoming talented directors like Rupesh Kumar Sahu’s Rat Trap, Abhijit Patro’s Johar and Purushotam Kumar’s Bandha Khet.
The event also wishes to enhance the ‘Local Connect’ that IIM Ranchi wishes to build with the community through identifying films that represent their issues better.
