Hazaribag, Aug 25: Police recovered the body of a girl floating in Chameli Jharna on Friday. This is the third body recovered from this fall in the last two days. Yesterday, the bodies of a young girl and a boy were recovered from this fall. Panic is seen in the area after the recovery of the body for the second consecutive day.
The bodies found yesterday have been kept in the mortuary after the postmortem. Local people said that on Friday afternoon, when the nearby villagers went towards the Chameli waterfall forest to graze the cattle, they spotted the body. Seeing the body floating in the water, they informed local people’s representatives. After this information was given to Padma police and Ichak police.
As the information was received, the police patrol teams of both the police stations along with the district force reached the spot and took out the body of the girl. The police sent the dead body to Sheikh Bhikhari Medical College and Hospital for post-mortem. The dead girl is wearing a yellow coloured kurti, blue coloured jeans and PT shoes. The deceased girl seems to be from a decent family.
According to eyewitnesses and the police, the body of the girl could not be identified. It is speculated that in a double love affair, the young man would have called both the girls together and carried out the incident. After this the young man committed suicide by jumping into the waterfall. However, police are probing from all angles and trying to ascertain the identity of the trio first.
