Ramgarh, June 12: A surprise checking campaign was conducted in Gola, Dulmi, Chitarpur and Patratu blocks on Monday by the district-level task force under the chairmanship of Sub-Divisional Officer Mohammad Javed Hussain.
During the investigation campaign, two sand-loaded tractors under the Gola block, one hywa and one tractor loaded with stone chips under the Chitarpur block, one tractor with sand from the Tokisud area under the Patratu block and two two-wheelers under the Dulmi block were caught illegally transporting coal. Further action is being taken after confiscating these vehicles.
In order to completely stop the illegal mining in Ramgarh district and strict action against the culprits and comply with the instructions issued by the NGT in view of the ban on the lifting of sand from June 10 to October 15, DC Madhavi Mishra instructed the officers to act in a planned manner.
