Jamshedpur, Feb 2: Weather would be dry, and crisp with a fall in minimum temperature by two to three degree Celsius in the next 48 hours, said a forecast issued by IMD’s Ranchi Met Centre today.
Most districts today woke up to bright sunshine with a downward trend in minimum reading.
No significant synoptic condition prevails over Jharkhand. Only westerly to North-westerly wind prevails at lower levels over the state.
Satellite imagery suggested that the depression over the Southwest Bay of Bengal moved west southwestwards with a speed of three Kmph and lay centred over the same region near latitude
8.2°N and longitude 82.6°E, about 110 km east-southeast of Trincomalee Sri Lanka; hence, its impact will not be felt in Jharkhand.
Met statistics suggested that the minimum temperature fluctuated between 12 and 15 degree Celsius in most parts of the state during the past 24 hours.
