Jamshedpur, May 2: The forecasts of IMD indicate light rain and thunderstorm activity are expected at isolated places over the state on Tuesday
The Meteorological Centre also issued an alert of gusty wind blowing at a speed of 30-40 Kmph at some places.
Today’s satellite pictures indicated that a western disturbance as a cyclonic circulation was hovering between 3.1 Km and 7.6 Km above the mean sea level.
Statistics revealed that light to moderate rain took place at isolated places over the state during the past 24- hours.
The highest rainfall recorded was 38.5 mm at Chaibasa. The highest maximum temperature of 37.5°C was recorded at Godda while the lowest minimum temperature of 20.3°C was recorded at Ramgarh.
According to statistics Rajmahal recorded 38.2 mm of rain yesterday while Jamshedpur recorded 6.8 mm of rain.
Several other places experienced light rains during the past 24- hours.
The maximum temperature came down to a comfortable level -below 35 degrees Celsius at several places.
