IMD issues alert of light rain in eastern, central parts of Jharkhand today

Jamshedpur, March 15:  A Western Disturbance passing through northern parts of the country which has created a trough in middle tropospheric levels with its axis at 5.8 Km above mean sea level is expected to trigger light showers in several pockets of Jharkhand today especially the eastern and central parts.

Satellite images and wind chart analysis suggested that the trough was running from Jharkhand to Telangana across Chhattisgarh at 0.9 Km above mean sea level.

IMD predicted no large change in maximum temperature during next two days, thereafter fall by 4-5°C in subsequent three days.

Partly cloudy sky with light to moderate rain or thunderstorm likely at few places tomorrow, Thursday. On Friday and Saturday generally cloudy sky with light to moderate rain or thunderstorm is expected at many places.

Meanwhile, Met statistics suggested that dry weather prevailed over the state during the past 24-hours. The highest maximum temperature of 36.8°C was recorded at Jamshedpur, while the lowest minimum temperature of 16.5°C was recorded at Garhwa.
