Jamshedpur, March 14: IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre issued a forecast of thunderstorms and lightning for the next 48 – hours.
Weathermen said no significant synoptic condition prevails over Jharkhand. However, an induced cyclonic circulation was on Tuesday hovering over southwest Rajasthan extending up to 3.1 Km above mean sea level.
Dry weather prevailed over the state during the past 24- hours. The highest maximum temperature of 35.9°C was recorded at Jamshedpur while the lowest minimum temperature of 15.4°C was recorded at Garhwa.
Weathermen predicted no large change in maximum temperature during the next 3-4 days, thereafter falling by 3-4 degrees in the subsequent two days.
Tuesday’s forecast suggested a partly cloudy sky in the north-west and adjoining central parts of the state with the possibility of rain or thunderstorm at isolated places.
Tomorrow light showers and thunderstorm is likely at isolated places over the east and adjoining central parts of the state.
Weathermen also issued a forecast of a partly cloudy sky with the possibility of light to moderate rain or thunderstorm at a few places on March 16.
Met statistics suggested that the maximum temperature hovered between 32 and 35 degree Celsius in most districts of the state during the past 24 hours.
