Ranchi: A significant chapter was added to the spiritual and cultural heritage of Jharkhand as the state’s largest Radha-Krishna temple was inaugurated in Pundag, Ranchi. The grand opening was led by Swami Sadanand Maharaj, accompanied by 20 saints and spiritual leaders from across the country, including luminaries from the USA and other states such as Punjab, Delhi, Gujarat, and Maharashtra.
Highlights of the Ceremony
The temple gates were ceremoniously opened amidst the chanting of Radha-Krishna’s names and a shower of flowers. Prior to the inauguration, a vibrant Kalash Shobha Yatra was organized, featuring devotees in traditional attire carrying flags of Lord Krishna.
Spiritual leader Swami Sadanand Maharaj performed the rituals, including the consecration of idols and Kalash installation, following detailed Vedic procedures. Bhajan singer Manish Soni added to the devotional fervor with melodious renditions.

Addressing the gathering, Swami Sadanand Maharaj emphasized the importance of devotion, cultural values, and community service. He highlighted that worshipping Radha-Krishna brings peace, happiness, and prosperity. He added, “This temple is not just a religious structure but a symbol of unity, love, and spiritual growth. It will serve as a center of faith and harmony for generations.”
