Jharkhand’s Sujeet Munda also played a crucial role in the team’s success throughout the world cup. Earlier, in the semi-final match against South Africa, Munda showcased an all-round performance to take his team through to the finals.

Notably, Sujeet started playing cricket in 2014. In the last 8 years, Sujeet has been a part of many bilateral and tripartite series and will finally participate in the World Cup.

Sujeet, who lives in a temporary house built on HEC land in Dhurwa, comes from a very poor family. There are four brothers in the family including Sujeet out of which three are daily wage workers.

Talking to the media, Sujeet said that his mother Late Shanti Devi has always supported him and because of his blindness, her mother had to listen to the taunts of society but she did not pay attention to anything. She always kept his morale high.
