New Delhi, Feb 27: India reported 10,273 new Covid-19 cases and 243 deaths in the last 24 hours, taking the total death toll to 5,13,724, according to the data released by the Ministry of Health on Sunday.
The active cases in the country now stand at 1,11,472. Over the course of 24 hours, the active Covid-19 caseload has decreased by 10,409 cases. Today, 20,439 recoveries were made in the country, bringing the overall number of recoveries to 4,22,90,921.
The national recovery rate for Covid-19 is 98.54 percent. According to the ministry, the daily positivity rate is 1%, and the weekly positivity rate is 1.26 percent.
The cumulative doses administered in the country so far under the nationwide vaccination drive have exceeded ????177.44 crore. As many as 10,22,204 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours to detect the presence of the virus.
