New Delhi, May 23: India is undergoing a huge digital transition, and strong political leadership and a determination to continue with radical reforms would be critical in propelling the country to a leadership position in the global economy, according to Niti Aayog CEO Amitabh Kant.

“A slew of radical reforms has been carried out by India in the recent years that have put India on a growth trajectory for many decades to come”, he said addressing a breakfast season on unleashing the power of the Indian community on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2023.

He stated at a session organised by industry association CII and Indiaspora that the Startup India movement has seen the number of businesses in the country rise from double digits to tens of thousands presently, and the emergence of unicorns even during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic has been fantastic. He also called upon global investors to join the India growth story
