Adarsh Swaika, the Indian ambassador to Kuwait, met with Ghanem Al Gheniman, the managing director of the Kuwait Investment Authority, last month.

The two had a fruitful follow-up conversation in which they talked about the potential for Kuwait to make bigger investments given the expanding Indian economy.

Swaika also visited Kuwait’s Minister of Commerce, HE Mohd Othman Al Aiban, and apprised him of the expanding trend in bilateral trade between the two nations.

He also apprised Sheikh Ahmed Abdullah Jaber Al-Sabah, Chief of the Crown Prince’s Diwan about the growing cooperation and the prospects for future bilateral ties in July.

The position of India’s subsequent ambassador to Kuwait was given to Adarsh Swaika, a joint secretary in the Ministry of External Affairs, in October 2022. He was chosen at a period when relations between India and Kuwait were expanding.

Both nations enjoy cordial ties that have a long history.  India and Kuwait will commemorate the 60th anniversary of the start of diplomatic ties between them in 2022. High-level communication has been maintained between the two countries regularly.
