Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will face Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on Monday in the Indian Premier League (IPL-2021 Phase-2).In the first phase, RCB with its excellent performance finished third in the table with 10 points from 7 matches. KKR’s team, on the other hand, seemed to be struggling to regain their form and won just 2 out of 7 matches. KKR’s team is at the seventh position with 4 points.

In this match, Kohli can make 2 big records in his name. As Virat will become the fifth player to play 200 matches in IPL, before him Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Dinesh Karthik, Rohit Sharma and Suresh Raina have reached this milestone. Interestingly, Virat will become the first player to play 200 matches for any one team.

In addition to this, Virat is just 71 runs away from 10,000 runs in T20. In this scenario, virat Kohli can become the first Indian batsman to score 10,000 runs in T20 cricket. Before him, Chris Gayle, Kieron Pollard, Shoaib Malik and David Warner have crossed the 10,000-run mark in this format.

Virat Kohli will step down from the captaincy of Royal Challengers Bangalore after the current IPL season. Virat said in his message – This will be my last IPL as the captain of RCB. I will remain a player of RCB till I play my last IPL match. I thank all the RCB fans for believing in me and supporting me.

Virat Kohli is the captain of RCB since 2013 season. Under his leadership, the team definitely reached the finals but could not win a single title. Virat has led the team in 132 matches so far in the IPL. Out of these, RCB won 60, lost in 65 matches, 3 matches were tied and 4 matches ended with no result. To focus more on batting, Kohli will step down as the captain from IPL as well as the Indian Team.
