Srinagar, July 17: The Jammu and Kashmir Police on Sunday saw another drone flying close to the Samba International Border in Jammu and Kashmir as incidents of drones entering Indian airspace continue to be reported from the border districts.
The security personnel picked up on the drone movement yesterday night, according to the most recent information.
“Late last night, villagers from Mangu Chak village, Samba informed Police of having spotted a drone in the area. Police forces are carrying out a search operation,” Jammu and Kashmir Police officials informed ANI today morning.
A Pakistani drone was reportedly observed earlier on July 4 by residents of the Rajpura neighbourhood near the international border between India and Pakistan in the Samba region of Jammu & Kashmir.
On July 4, a police official said that some people claimed to have seen a drone in the Rajpura area during the night between Sunday and Monday. Around 5 am, SOG Samba began a search operation and utilised drones to examine the region, but they were unsuccessful, according to him.
In May of this year, in the Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir, security forces shot down a Pakistani drone that was carrying seven sticky or magnetic bombs and seven UBGLs. The event happened on Sunday, May 29, 2022, in the Talli Haria Chak border region of Kathua district, close to Rajbagh police station. After the drone crashed, seven UGCL grenades and seven magnetic and sticky devices were found.
