Jamshedpur, Sept 19: Two bike-borne criminals launched a gun-shot attack on a car on Sonari-Bistupur road near Relax Bar under Sonari Thana area on Tuesday afternoon.
As the car was repeatedly shot at from behind, the car driver scrap dealer Laljee Prasad accelerated the speed and drove to a safer zone.
The firing took place at around 3:30 pm while the locality was bustling with commuters. What is worse the shooting occuring at a place which is hardly about 100 metres away from the Sonari Thana.
Sonari thana OC, Vishnu Rawat confirmed the firing but could not say about the criminals indulged in the gun-shot attack.
“We are trying to identify the shooters by taking out the CCTV camera footage. The reason behind the shooting is being investigated, ” said Rawat while talking to lagatar24.com.
A resident of Mararpara in Sonari, Laljee Prasad was riding out of his house when he was attacked but fortunately, the shots missed the target.
