Jamshedpur, Feb 16: The executive director and manager (HR) of an Adityapur-based software company, IT-Scient, have alleged an ex-manager of causing sexual harassment on the women employees of the company.

In an FIR lodged with Adityapur thana, the company’s executive director said that the ex-manager Sumanth Singh continues to harass the female employees outside the premises of the company despite being forced to resign from his post for his unusual acts in December last year.

The executive director has pointed out that due to sexual harassment, four female employees have already quit their job. She has stated the remaining lady employees have to remain apprehensive as the ex-manager Sumanth Singh keeps waiting for some of them outside the company premises.

The executive director who has provided video clippings related to the alleged sexual harassment to the police has demanded strong action against the accused.

IT-Scient is a US-based software company located on the premises of Auto Cluster along the Tata-Kandra road in Adityapur.

OC, Adityapur thana Rajan Kumar confirmed the FIR lodged by the management of the software company IT-Scient.

“There was enough evidence to register a case against the accused Sumanth Singh regarding the alleged sexual harassment meted out to some female employees. We will take necessary action against the accused after carrying out an investigation,” said the OC while talking to lagatar24.com.
