Ramgarh, Feb 16: Former Deputy Chief Minister of Jharkhand and Union President AJSU, Sudesh Kumar Mahato on Thursday said, “The government got to the pinnacle of power by using dreams of Jharkhandi youth as a ladder. It has cheated the youth during three years of its tenure. The JMM-Congress grand alliance government rests on the foundation of lies, the leader added.
Mahato said this while addressing public meetings in various villages of Chitarpur block prior to the Ramgarh assembly by-election. He further added that misleading policies of the government have led thousands of youths to the streets. All the doors of employment are closed for these youths due to the wrong policies of the government. On the other hand, AJSU party do politics based on development and our identity, Mahato added.
Giridih MP and AJSU Party’s vice-president Chandra Prakash Chaudhary said that the development journey of Ramgarh during the tenure of NDA presented a different example in Jharkhand. “Construction of roads and bridges, the establishment of technical institutions, empowerment of women, ideological motivation and training of youth are many such examples, which strengthened the foundation of the development process in Ramgarh,” he added.
He further commented that in the last three years, the development of Ramgarh has stopped. “The general public had to visit government offices for even the smallest of works. Nothing gets done without a bribe now. It is as if the middlemen, bribe takers and mafias have been given a free hand by the government and the system,” added Chaudhary.
Meanwhile, NDA candidate Sunita Chowdhary said that the pace of women’s empowerment and development has slowed down under the present government. On evaluation at the ground level, it is clearly visible that the administration is indifferent towards the development of women. The ruling party does not care much about women’s participation and real needs.
