Ranchi, March 2: Cases of illegal purchase and sale of land in Ranchi have been increasing in the city in recent times. The latest one is the army camp land on Bariatu Road. Two days ago, Hindi daily newspaper “Dainik Bhaskar” published a news article where it stated that the army land has been sold.

On research, it was found that the army land was sold three years ago. Many such shocking facts have come out during the research. Three years ago, through 16 deeds, 4.46 acres of land were sold to 14 people. The land originally belongs to the Indian Army.

The land is located in Morabadi Mauja of Badgai Zone which is on Bariatu Road, Ranchi. The land’s account number is 557 and the total area of the land is 4.46 acres. The person who sold the land is recognized as Jayant Karnad, a resident of Jamshedpur.

After further investigation, it has been found that the land is registered under the name of Munjeshwar Mukud Rao, son of Mujeshwar Laxman Rao. Karnad impersonated himself as Munjeshwar’s heir and sold the land. The Indian Army has claimed that the land belongs to them. They have written a letter to the Deputy Commissioner in Ranchi to cancel the land’s registration.

As of now, it is known that Karnad has sold the land to 14 different people who are Gyanendra Kumar Singh (11.5 decimal), Hari Shankar Parashrampuri (33.6 decimal), Pramod Kumar Parasharampuria (47.84 decimal), Janki Devi (15 decimal), Maya Kejriwal (53.71 decimal), Rajni Devi (15 decimal), Sapna Bharti (15 decimal),  Sudhanshu Kumar Singh (15 decimal), Deepshikha Dhanuka (53.71 decimal), Rajkishore Sahu (15 decimal), another Rajkishore Sahu (43 decimal), Shanti Saw (15 decimal) and Prerna Soni (15 decimal).
