Jamshedpur, March 18: Rising archer Anil Lohar was felicitated by RSB vice-chairman and managing director SK Behera at a function in Adityapur on Friday evening.
Notably, at the 42nd Senior National held in Gujarat recently, he won two gold and one silver medal in the archery competition.
SK Behera, Vice Chairman cum Managing Director, RSB not only honoured him with a cash prize but also announced the gift of bow and arrow required to be able to participate in international competitions, which cost around Rs 5 lakhs. On this occasion, SK Behera said that Jharkhand’s soil is not only rich in minerals but also talents are hidden, there is a need to identify and nurture them.
“There are immense possibilities in sports like archery, hockey, football, cricket,” he said adding that that RSB is always ahead in its social concern and will always be ahead in searching for and grooming new talents.
Archer Lohar got emotional while expressing his feelings. He thanked the management of RSB Group while remembering his days of struggle. Earlier, RSB Group recognized the talent of this player for the first time and gave him a job when he was working in a small chicken shop.
The function was also attended by Sarthak Behera and HR Head Jaya Singh on behalf of the management.
