With this, a total of 20.34MWp of solar projects have been commissioned in various facilities at Tata Steel in Jamshedpur including at an airport.

This project has been commissioned by Tata Power under the larger agreement with Tata Steel for installation of total 41MWp with a combination of roof top, floating and ground mounted solar panels across its locations.

Earlier, rooftop solar projects at Central Warehouse, Cold Rolling Mill, Wire Rod Mill and Hot Strip Mill totalling to 7.65 MWp; and a 2 MWp ground-mounted solar project at Sonari Airport, have already been commissioned.

Several definitive steps have been taken by the steel major to reinforce its sustainability credentials.
