Jamshedpur, Dec 5: A 30-year-old woman was found bare body in a bush near Hathi-Ghoda temple along the Subarnarekha-Mango Road under the Sakchi police station area this morning.
The woman who is a resident of a nearby slum was found in senseless condition and has been admitted to the MGM medical college hospital by police.
Suspecting foul play with the victim, the police have started an investigation into the matter and are also collecting CCTV footage of the area for finding a clue.
The officer in charge of Sakchi police station, Sanjay Singh, said that from the condition of the woman and in view of the locality where she was found, they suspect she must have been raped probably by more than one culprit before being dropped at the bush.
“But the woman is still senseless and unless she gives a statement and a medical examination is done in the rape angle nothing conclusively said, ” said Singh while talking to lagatar24.com.
The OC said they have, however, started an investigation into the matter and expect to find out the mystery behind such a grievous incident.
Some slum dwellers had spotted the woman lying in the bush and informed the police control room in the morning.
Those who knew the woman said her husband is presently lodged in Ghaghidih Central Jail and she would earn a living for sustaining herself and a three-year-old son by working petty work.
