Dhanbad, Aug 18: The ‘Jan Ashirvad Yatra’ undertaken by Union Minister of State for Education Annapurna Devi has exposed factional feud among BJP leaders in Dhanbad as every leader has put up posters, hoardings, and banners separately at different places to welcome the minister leaving out photos of others.
In course of her three days Jan Ashirvad Yatra Annapurna Devi, who is also national vice-president of the BJP, would reach Dhanbad in the evening today.
In the wake of her visit, the BJP leaders have engaged in poster wars in wishing her. At least 10 senior leaders, including BJP Sadar MLA Raj Sinha, Baghmara MLA Dhulu Mahto, Nirsa MLA Aparna Sengupta, district town president Chandrashekhar Singh, former mayor Chandrashekhar Agrawal, former Jharia MLA Sanjiv Singh, have put up giant size hoarding to welcome the minister.
Interestingly in poster war leaders have put up only photos of their faction and have left out rivals.
On side of NH-32 near IIT Indian School of Mines (ISM) Sadar MLA Raj Sinha has put up a giant size hoarding welcoming the union minister. In the hoarding prime minister, national president JP Nadda, Arjun Munda, Raghubar Das, Dhanbad MP PN Singh are shining but district town president Chandrashekhar Singh, district rural president Gyanranjan Sinha, are missing.
District president Chandrashekhar Singh has also put up a giant size poster at the same place in which only vice-president Sanjay Jha and Manas Prasun are seen. Dhanbad MP PN Singh, MLA Raj Sinha, MLA Dhulu Mahto, MLA Aparna Sengupta, rural president Gyan Rajan Sinha are missing.
Two-time former Jharia MLA Sanjiv Singh has also put up a poster to welcome the union minister and in his hoarding, only his wife Ragni Singh (who was party candidate in the Jharia assembly seat in the 2019 election) is seen.
Former state working committee member Devashish Pal has also put up a giant size hoarding at the same place in the city and has left out photos of top district leaders.
Dhanbad is considered the strong citadel of BJP where the party won four assembly seats out of six in the 2019 assembly election. But for the first time, factional feuds among leaders have appeared in the organization.
However, district vice-president Sanjay Jha denied the rift and said each leader and worker is eager to welcome the minister.” All interested party leaders have been allowed to put up a poster as per their wish,” he said.
