JEE Main 2023 Result: 20 candidates get 100 percentile in session 1

New Delhi, Feb 7: The National Testing Agency (NTA) on Tuesday has declared the session 1 result of the JEE Main 2023 held in January-February. A total of 20 candidates scored 100 percentile in the joint entrance examination- (JEE main) 2023.

The results have been declared for Paper 1 B.E. / B.Tech. candidates can download it from the official website of the NTA, jeemain.nta.nic.in.

The 20 toppers include 14 from the general category, four from the OBC category and one each from gen-EWS and SC categories. While MD Sahil  Akhtar is the PWD topper with a 99.9848042 NTA score, the SC topper is Deshank Pratap Singh with a 100 NTA score and ST topper is Dheeravath Thanuj with a 99.99041 score.

There are no female candidates in the top 20 list this year.

The candidates who scored 100 percentile scores are: Abhineet Majety, Amogh Jalan, Apurv Samota, Ashik Stenny, Bikkina Abhinav Chowdhary, Deshank Pratap Singh, Dhruv Sanjay Jain, Dnyanesh Himesh Shinde, Duggineni Venkata Yugesh, Gulshan Kumar, Guthikonda Abiram, Kaushal Vijayvergiya, Krish Gupta, Mayank Son, N K Vishwaajit, Nipun Goel, Rishi Kalra, Soham Das, Suthar Harshul, Sanjaybhai and Vavilala Chidvilas Reddy.

Notably, NTA score is not the same as the percentage of the marks obtained. The ranks of the candidates are released taking into consideration the best of the two NTA scores in accordance with the policy already placed. Paper 1 is for admission to BTech/ BE programmes in IITs, NIITs and centrally-funded technical institutions (CFTIs).

According to the data, 8.6 lakh individuals registered for JEE Main 2023’s first session, and 8.22 lakh people showed up for the test, making this year’s engineering paper’s turnout the highest since the National Testing Agency began holding JEE Main exams.
