Jamshedpur: In a commendable effort to promote suicide prevention and mental health support, Jeevan, a prominent Jamshedpur-based suicide prevention centre, is actively engaging with teenagers at the Ghaghidih Remand Home. Once a week, dedicated volunteers from Jeevan visit the remand home to offer essential counselling sessions and educational programs to the young detainees.

Jeevan has garnered a reputation for its unwavering commitment to suicide prevention and providing assistance to individuals in crisis over the years. Gurpreet Bhatia, Deputy Director at Jeevan, highlighted the remarkable response and appreciation received for their recent initiative with the juveniles at Ghaghidih Remand Home.

Dr. Jeevraj Jain, the Director of Jeevan in Jamshedpur, expressed his enthusiasm for the success of the program, stating, “The teenagers have responded very positively to our efforts. We take great pride in contributing to their mental well-being and offering guidance during this challenging phase of their lives. We are inspiring them to make the most out of it.”

Jeevan’s services extend beyond physical visits to the remand home. In their commitment to being readily accessible to those in need, Jeevan volunteers are available for assistance over the phone at 9297777499 or 9297777500. Additionally, individuals seeking help can visit Jeevan’s office at 25, Q Road, to benefit from their ongoing support and resources.
