Ranchi, Sept.25: The Jharkhand State Legal Services Authority (JHALSA) paved the path for the construction of a new house for the widow, whose cottage had collapsed following heavy rains on Thursday morning.
Executive chairman of JHALSA Justice Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh took the initiative to get the work done with the help of the District Legal Services Authority, Ranchi, Secretary Kamla Kumari, taking cognisance of the pathetic condition of the lady through a newspaper.
Following the direction of Justice Singh, DLSA secretary Kamla Kumari sent a team comprising para legal volunteer Taramani Devi and retainer lawyer Ganesh Prasad to meet 60-yr-old Budhia Oraon, surviving with her two unmarried young daughters after the death of her husband Tibu Bhagat, at her village Hurhuri under Chanho block.
The team took an application for an Indira Awas from Oraon and got it approved by the block development officer of Chanho. Thus path was paved for a proper house for a helpless widow. Where ever hurdle came in the processing of application, the team organised telephonic talk of concerned officials with the DLSA secretary and removed the hurdle.
