Daltonganj, Oct 27: Jharkhand Additional Chief Secretary Health Arun Kumar Singh today inspected MMCH Daltonganj and the community health centre at Chainpur. Earlier in the day, he had inspected the medical college at Pokhraha in Daltonganj.
Speaking to lagatar24.com this evening ACS health said the CHC Chainpur is well managed. Here things need to be computerised for more effective management of the patients etc.
As regards the MMCH Daltonganj, the ACS said, “It looked all spick and span today.”
He said once the GNM would be made activated, the old ANM building would be demolished and there we would set up an early intervention centre for the mentally retarded or disabled children. He said this early intervention centre is sanctioned.
There is an issue with the medical O2 in the children’s intensive care unit where we will try to provide O2 by a special manifold system. He said that the work on the 500 bedded hospital is very tardy and it needs to be expedited.
Laundry, dining hall, and kitchen in the medical college need to be further touched up, as per the ACS.
About the library in the medical college, he said it is poorly managed. Work on the auditorium is again too slow. The labs require to be made smarter, he said.
The ACS described his stay in Daltonganj as most hectic but he saw most of the things that matter to the patients to the MBBS students today. Sources said his visit has come as a shot in the arm of the patients.
