Jharkhand Approves ₹24.94 Crore New OPD Block For SNMMCH Dhanbad

Ranchi: The Jharkhand government has granted administrative approval for the construction of a new OPD block at SNM Medical College and Hospital (SNMMCH), Dhanbad, with a sanctioned cost of ₹24.94 crore to strengthen healthcare infrastructure in the region.

Expanded OPD And PG Block Development

The project will be developed as an augmented extension of the existing New PG blocks. Under the approved plan, the new OPD block will include the construction of augmented PG-1, PG-2, and PG-3 blocks.

Major Facilities Included In The Project

Along with the main building work, the project includes ramp facilities, electrical work, plumbing, fire-fighting systems, HVAC installations, horticulture development, a minor operation theatre, MGPS work, hospital furniture, curtains and IV hanger systems, administrative furniture, CSSD setup, signage, laundry equipment, and art work.

Total Cost Includes GST And Other Charges

The sanctioned amount includes GST, L-Cess, and charges related to JSBCCL, taking the grand total to ₹24.94 crore. The implementation will be carried out through Jharkhand State Building Construction Corporation Limited, following approved financial rules and estimates.

Completion Target Set For Three Months

Departmental instructions state that monitoring and expenditure verification will be done through the prescribed process. The government has set a target to complete the work within three months.
