Ranchi: As Jharkhand gears up for two-phase Assembly elections on November 13 and November 20, several candidates across party lines and independents have started filing their nominations. The deadline for nominations for the first phase is October 25, while the second phase closes on October 29.
Today, key political figures such as BJP’s CP Singh and JMM’s Mahua Maji filed their nominations from Ranchi, while Ajay Nath Shahdeo of Congress and BJP’s Naveen Jaiswal submitted their papers from Hatia. From Khijri, Congress candidate Rajesh Kachhap filed his nomination, and Jeetu Charan Ram of BJP from Kanke also completed the process.
In Mandar, Congress candidate Shilpi Neha Tirkey submitted her nomination, with Bihar leader Pappu Yadav lending support to her campaign. Several other prominent candidates, including Banna Gupta, Dr. Ajay, KN Tripathi, Devendra Kushwaha, and Pushpa, are also expected to file their nominations today.
