Ranchi, Dec.22: Chief Minister Hemant Soren today took a dig at the functioning of bureaucracy during the Raghubar Das government saying that the previous government used to sleep and bureaucracy during its rule used to be rusted.
“Purvavarti sarkar khud soti thi aur unke samay karyapalika mein jung laga rahta tha,” Soren said during his speech in the capacity of leader of the house.
The chief minister did not stop here. He went on to say that if the action is taken against them the entire executive will be finished. “Karrvai Ki to Karyapalika Hi Khatam Ho jayegi,” he said.
Before taking a dig at the functioning of bureaucracy during the BJP rule he let the house know how he with the help of bureaucrats gets entire work done within half an hour to help a physically challenged couple in mid-night taking note of the information reaching to them through a newsman.
The Chief Minister during his speech in the house expressed his commitment to the development of tribal, poor, agitators who participated during the struggle for a separate state. He said that raiyati land which remained unused after its acquisition for industrial purpose will be returned to landowners and very soon path will be paved for 75 percent jobs to locals in all the public and private sector units functional and will be functional in the state.
Talking about giving proper respect to those who agitated for a tribal separate state chief minister Soren said they will be given a pension and 5 percent reservation in government jobs and for their identification, a welfare commission will be constituted.
BJP legislators were also present when the chief minister Soren started his speech in a cordial atmosphere but hardly had he spoken for 20 minutes BJP legislators walked out after they heard Soren saying that DMFT funds are not being properly used and criticized the union government for not doing excavation work properly.
As the BJP legislators walked out, the chief minister criticised them terming their act as a reflection of ‘Manuvad’.
Soren on the occasion stuck to his statement defending the JPSC saying when 70 percent of the 4000 candidates qualifying JPSC PT are from ST, SC, BC and BC-1 categories problem to Manuvadi is obvious.
“Agar chaar hazar mein teen Hazar yani sattar pratishat SC, SC, BC, BC-1 ke bacche rahen to aise mein Manuvadiyon ke pet me dard hona aswabhavik nahi,” Soren said though unlike other occasions none of the legislators present in the house welcomed the words by thumping the desk.
During his speech chief minister Soren counted achievements of his government and held previous governments responsible for all which is bad in the state.
