Ranchi, Oct 10: Jharkhand Assembly Speaker Rabindra Nath Mahto on Monday condoled the death of former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and Samajwadi Party Patron Mulayam Singh Yadav.

The speaker said that Yadav firmly established the socialist ideology in power and was well aware of the core of Indian politics. Today, the entire country is mourning his death.

Expressing his condolences to the bereaved family members and their associates, speaker Mahto prayed for the peace of the departed soul.

Earlier, senior Jharkhand politician, Saryu Roy, in an exclusive interview told Lagatar24.com about his association with Yadav and expressed his grief over his death.

“I came in contact with Mulayam Singh Yadav in 1972. Whenever he used to come to Patna, I used to meet him at Coffee House and had long discussions. He was a great socialist leader. With his death, the country has lost a great socialist leader,” Roy said.
