Ranchi, Jan 10: The condition of BJP leader Sumit Keshri, who was shot and injured on Monday night at a Palkot in Gumla, continues to be critical.
Adviser of Medica group of hospitals, Anand Kumar, informed Lagatar24.com saying Keshri is undergoing treatment under the neurosurgeon Dr Ganesh.
“Apart from sustaining bullet injury in his leg, the patient has also sustained head injury made by stone. He is very critical. It is difficult to tell anything about the outcome at this stage. He is under treatment of neurosurgeon Dr Ganesh,” Kumar said.
While the condition of Keshri continues to be critical, police in Gumla in is action to nab those shot at the BJP leader.
“There were two criminals. They have not been identified. Our team is in action and we expect a breakthrough soon,” the superintendent of police of the district, Ehtesham Waquarib, said when contacted to know the latest development in the case.
Some pictures reached Lagatar24.com suggesting the closure of markets in the district to protest against the incident. When asked by SP Waquarib regarding this, he said, “Market is normal. There is no protest. A delegation had come to meet me. After discussion, they expressed satisfaction with our actions. Normal life is not disturbed after the incident.”
The criminals shot at the ex-BJP president of the district. This incident took place at Rokedega turn under the Palkot police station area of the district. Police reached the spot hurriedly and took Sumit to Sadar Hospital, from where he was referred to Medica.
