Daltonganj, Feb 20: State BJP president and Rajya Sabha member Deepak Prakash is to visit Daltonganj on Monday, February 21.
Giving this information the Palamu district BJP president Vijayanand Pathak said, the state party president is to hold a district level party workers meeting in the Pdt Deendayal Upadhayay Smiriti Bhavan in Daltonganj on Monday.
“Party workers of all the assembly segments here have been asked to be present. This will be the first visit of the state BJP president Deepak Prakash here in Daltonganj after taking over the mantle of the party in the state,” said Palamu district BJP president.
Notably, Palamu has 5 assembly seats and BJP has its MLAs on four of the five seats.
Political observers said the visit of Deepak Prakash holds significance as the state is reeling under the fire of language conflict. The uncertainty of the panchayat election in the state is also a big issue which the BJP never misses to hit.
There are different Morchas of the BJP namely OBC, Mahila, minority, Yuva, ST, SC etc and the state president is to review it said one functionary of the BJP.
“We will apprise our state president about the rampant corruption in Palamu and elsewhere in the state. From theft of sand to corruption in every government scheme will be the focal point for us,” Daltonganj BJP MLA Alok Chourasia said.
“Our state president has been raising the issues which this Hemant Soren government in its two years tenure has either failed or kept it hanging fire,” he added.
BJP MLA Panki Dr Kushwaha Shashibhushan Mehta said as our state president is an honourable member of the Rajya Sabha we will brief him about the plights of the people of Palamu vis a vis the neglect of the Panki assembly constituency as well.
