Ranchi, Dec 29: The BJP released a charge sheet against the Hemant Soren government after completion of its three years ‘without any major achievement’.
The development took place a day after chief minister Hemant Soren addressed media persons at his official residence counting the ‘achievements’ of the state government amid ‘challenges’ thrown by corona pandemic and the BJP.
Chief minister Soren counted the Khatiyan-based domicile policy, OBC reservation, 100 units of free electricity to the poor, successful completion of JPSC examinations, Guru Ji credit card for students, universal pension scheme, the old pension scheme for employees besides others work as state government’s achievement.
The BJP charge sheet rubbishes the claim explaining how the Hemant Soren government ‘did nothing’ for the people of Jharkhand except ‘befooling’ them by formulating long policies.

BJP state president and Rajya Sabha member Deepak Prakash released the charge sheet saying that the Hemant Soren-led Jharkhand government is ‘vision less’ and involved in all types of ‘corruption’. He said a close aide of the chief minister is in jail.
Prakash said that time has come for the chief minister to explain the latter’s relationship with Pankaj Mishra, and Amit Agrawal and let people know why he has not given his nod to register FIR against senior IAS Pooja Singha for her involvement in corruption.
Prakash said the chief minister is also expected to explain under which circumstances the state collected less revenue by selling liquor under a new excise policy. He said the CM is also expected to let people know about the Chhatisgarh-based liquor baron involved in the business of liquor in Jharkhand.
The BJP state president said that the government failed to fulfil its promises of either giving employment or unemployment allowances to youths. He said that the government formulated the 1932 Khatiyan-based domicile policy knowing well that it is going to be scrapped in the same way it was scrapped earlier during the regime of chief minister Babulal Marandi.
Prakash said the Hemant Soren government is anti-backwards as it conducted Panchayat elections without giving them reservations and now plans to conduct municipal elections in the same way. He said that the government has not constituted a backward commission so far.
Talking about poor law and order, Prakash said in the last three years as many as 1, 78,351 cases of crime have been registered across the state. The cases include 5200 murders, 4527 abductions and 5300 rapes and eve teasing. He said that the government is patronising Bangladeshi and strengthening terrorist organisations like PFI.
Chief minister Hemant Soren while talking to the media had said that there is no wonder if he is sent to jail on which Prakash said the law will take its course and questioned why he (the CM) is feeling guilty if he has not committed any mistake.
