Jharkhand Cabinet nod to Transport Nagar, new Kanta Toli flyover in Ranchi

Ranchi, Sept.28: The State Cabinet today approved a proposal for the development of a Transport Nagar at Sukurhuttu in Kanke in a 49.81-acre area and approved an amount of Rs 113.24 crore for the project.

Other important approvals given in the cabinet included termination of the old Kanta Toli Flyover project and approval of new Yogoda Satsang Ashram to Shanti Nagar via Bahu Bazar and Kanta Toli flyover. The cabinet also approved an amount of Rs 224.94 crore for the new flyover which will be completed in 24 months.

Apart from this, the cabinet approved Rs 150.05 crore for water supply project in Jhumri Tilaiya besides giving its nod for establishment of Jharkhand Exploration and Mining Corporation, reducing minimum age limit from 21 to 18 for Diploma holders aspiring for a job in municipal corporations, transfer of eight mini hydel power units of Bihar Hydro Electric Project on as is where is condition in Jharkhand in accordance with the Jharkhand High Court order delivered in 2014.

The cabinet also approved the name of E&Y as an event partner for participating in the World Expo at Dubai from September 30 to October 6, sanctioned 25 new posts of motor vehicle inspectors raising the number of posts to 49 from 24, and approved their posting according to the category of the city i.e three for class A city, two for Class B city and one for class C city.

Among the other decisions include the transfer of 58-acre land to Jharkhand State Housing Board for development of a residential colony at Duma in Manoharpur block of Deoghar district, establishment of a sub divisional court with seven courts at Chandil in Saraikela -Kharsawan district, transfer of 2.34-acre land for Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya at Karra in Khunti district, the establishment of project monitoring unit for 45 rice fortification projects under which rice is be fortified with micronutrient powders before distribution through PDS system to eliminate malnutrition and anaemia from the state.
