Deoghar/Ramgarh, Oct 25: Deoghar’s famous Baba Baidyanath Dham or Babadham temple will remain closed today for around three hours due to a partial solar eclipse which is also the last solar eclipse of the year.

Talking to Lagatar24.com, temple superintendent Sona Sinha confirmed that the temple will reopen for traditional Shringar Pooja in the evening today.

As per tradition, in many parts of the country, Sutak i.e prohibition for worship during the eclipse has already been clamped but according to Babadham temple priest Sachidanand Jha alias Baba, there is no Sutak in Deoghar. The temple will remain open as usual by 3 pm.

Meanwhile, Chhinnamastika Shaktipeeth Rajrappa temple will also remain closed for devotees due to the eclipse. It will open after the pious bath.
