Ranchi, Dec 7: CM Hemant Soren laid the foundation stone of 1289 schemes and inaugurated 7 schemes while addressing a programme organized at Bhognadih, the birthplace of Amar Shaheed Sido-Kanhu, in Barhait block of Sahibganj district.
The Chief Minister, on the occasion, said that every young man and woman should stand on their own feet by taking the advantage of the government schemes.
“The process of recruitment is going on a large scale while schemes like Chief Minister Employment Generation Scheme have been started to promote self-employment by providing a subsidy up to Rs 25 lakh,” the CM said.
Praising the women associated with Palash Brand, the CM said that it is the best business model for the women and the villagers should also engage in traditional activities like fisheries, poultry, cow and pig farming so that the government can extend all possible cooperation.
“The government has taken a pledge for all-round development of Santhal Pargana area and the construction of Grid Sub Station at Barhait is going on in full swing which will provide uninterrupted power supply after commissioning,” the CM said.
The CM also laid the foundation stone of Phulo Jhano Smriti Van to be built on the banks of river Gumani. At the same time, this place will also be developed as a tourist destination.
The Chief Minister inaugurated an art gallery related to Veer Shaheed Sido, Kanhu, Chand, Bhairav and Phulo-Jhano. He also launched the ‘Krida Kisalaya’ Football Training Center to promote sports at Bhognadih.
Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Rajiv Arun Ekka, Deputy Commissioner of Sahibganj district, Superintendent of Police and other officials were present on the occasion.
