Dhanbad, June 3: The Congress State Disciplinary Committee will hold a meeting this month to take action against senior leaders of the party who have not stopped speaking against the organization’s office–bearers on a public platform.
Giving this information, Congress State Disciplinary Committee chairman cum senior vice-president Brajendra Prasad Singh today said that much water has flown in River Damodar. “So, the Disciplinary Committee has decided to hold a meeting this month to discuss over the present scenario in the organization following criticism of leaders on a public platform.
Singh has called a meeting of the Disciplinary Committee after meeting Jharkhand Congress in-charge Avinas Pande in New Delhi last month. Sources said Pande expressed grave concern over indiscipline activities of some senior leaders in the state and gave nod to take action against them.

“Now a days it has been seen through print, and electronic media that some senior leaders of party are not stopping giving advices to each other on a public platform. If junior leaders or block level leaders had done this we would have ignored them considering that they have no understanding. But the violation of discipline by senior leaders is a serious issue,” said Singh.
He said several leaders have time and again been advised to issue statement within the ‘Lakshaman Rekha’ as we have a major challenge of 2024 Lok Sabha election ahead. We should focus on winning Lok Sabha and assembly elections rather than criticizing each other.
