Ranchi, Sept 1: Dahu Yadav who is evading summons of the Enforcement Directorate in the illegal mining case is set to land in trouble as the agency has now issued a notice to his wife. It was reliably learnt that the ED is also assessing his properties for confiscation and the necessary legal works are being done. As Dahu Yadav has repeatedly defied summons, the ED may take some other corrosive actions.
Dahu Yadav is the close associate of Jharkhand CM’s MLA representative Pankaj Mishra. He is the key member of the illegal stone mining and transportation syndicate. Pankaj Mishra is currently in jail following his arrest by the ED in the money laundering case.
Dahu Yadav has not reported to the ED since July 18 when he last turned up at the Ranchi zonal office for questioning. On July 19 he informed the ED that owing to a sudden medical problem of his mother he had to rush to Sahibganj to look after his mother. He assured the ED that he would turn up once his mother gets well. Under this health pretext Dahu Yadav disappeared. However, he is said to be in Sahibganj district at a safe hideout place.
The ED sent him three summonses demanding his compulsory appearance before the agency. But he did not turn up. He sent an e-mail to the ED and sought additional time so that he could arrange the required documents.
