Ranchi: The Jharkhand government has taken two significant decisions to strengthen healthcare services in the state, approving a grant of Rs 25 crore for the Ranchi Institute of Neuro-Psychiatry and Allied Sciences (RINPAS) for the financial year 2026-27, and releasing the final instalment of Rs 9.46 lakh for the construction of the Gandhinagar Primary Health Centre building in Bokaro district.

Rs 25 Crore for RINPAS Development

According to an order issued by the Health, Medical Education and Family Welfare Department, the Rs 25 crore grant for RINPAS will be utilised for expanding academic activities, constructing new buildings, renovating old structures, purchasing modern machines and equipment, and carrying out other development works at the institution. The government has directed that all purchases be made under the Jharkhand Goods and Services Manual 2024 through the e-tendering process, with a focus on acquiring technologically advanced equipment. RINPAS will be required to submit a monthly progress report to the department by the 10th of every month.

Final Instalment Released for Gandhinagar PHC

The final instalment of Rs 9.46 lakh has been released for the completion of the Gandhinagar Primary Health Centre building in Bokaro, bringing the total sanctioned amount made available for the project to Rs 2.05 crore. The quality of construction will be assessed by a third-party agency, and payments will be processed based on its report.
