Supporting Mandal, legislator Anant Ojha asked how Urdu became a regional language while Kurmali did not get the status. Legislators Pradeep Yadav and Deepika Pandey also supported Mandal. Sensing the gravity of the matter Parliamentary Affairs Minister Alamgir Alam assured reconsideration in the matter. Alam, however, did not give any time frame to complete the reconsideration work despite repeated requests of Mandal.
