Jharkhand Government to Include Martyrs’ Stories in School Curriculum

Ranchi: MP Sukhdeo Bhagat, while addressing the Jatra-cum-Development Fair at Maina Bagicha Ground, emphasized that several martyrs, including Veer Budhu Bhagat, have not received due recognition for their sacrifices. He stated that the purpose of organizing this fair is to spread awareness about these heroes and their contributions. Bhagat also urged that their stories should be included in Jharkhand’s academic curriculum.

Martyrs’ Legacy to Be Honored in Education and Tourism

Jharkhand Rural Development Minister Deepika Pandey Singh, who attended the event as the chief guest, acknowledged that Jharkhand’s freedom fighters have not received the recognition they deserve even after independence.

She assured that the state government is committed to correcting this oversight by:

• Developing martyr sites into major tourist attractions to honor their legacy.

• Incorporating the stories of Veer Budhu Bhagat and other freedom fighters into Jharkhand’s school curriculumto educate future generations.

She further emphasized that the government will ensure the rightful recognition and development of areas linked to Jharkhand’s martyrs.
