Ranchi, Sept.1: Amid suspense over the future of Hemant Soren’s fate as a legislator and chief minister of Jharkhand, Governor Ramesh Bais, who had earlier declined the JMM’s request for a meeting with him, has accepted to meet them at 4pm.
Senior JMM leader Vibod Kumar Pandey, who is also a member of United Porgressive Alliance co-ordination committee, informed this saying that Raj Bhavan gave time of 4pm to meet the UPA delegation. Raj Bhawan sources also confirmed the schedule of the meeting.
Another Raj Bhavan source informed this saying it is the latest development. .
The Raj Bhavan hogs the limelight taking the Election Commission’s letter to the Governor on his demand for an opinion on the issue of office of profit brought to his notice by the BJP following disclosure of the fact that Soren had got a mining lease issued in his name despite being mining department minister.
The UPA has urged the Governor to clear air over the Election Commission opinion to end the political uncertainty in the State.
A couple of days back, the Raj Bhawan had refused to meet BJP as well as the UPA delegation.
