Jharkhand governor holds dialogue with villagers in Godda

Ranchi, June 24:  Jharkhand Governor C.P. Radhakrishnan, while participating in a ‘Lok Samvad Programme’ at the football ground at Sunderpahari in Godda district today expressed his pleasure over the construction of 50,000 houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in the district.

In this context, during the dialogue, a woman told him that she is feeling very happy after getting a pucca house from a kutcha house and now she does not have to face the effects of the weather, the governor said that the aim of the government is that every homeless person should have his own house.

The governor said that not only the house, but drinking water will also be available to them along with the house. For this, he said, the Nal-Jal Yojana is being run by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Under this scheme, drinking water will be supplied to every house; work is being done continuously for this.

He said that the basic needs of the people should be fulfilled for a dignified life. Along with the housing and drinking water supply, the government is constantly working for uninterrupted electricity, good roads, advanced health and education.

In the same programme, a self-help group’s sister told the governor that before joining the group, the financial condition of her house was pathetic. After joining the group, he did goat rearing by taking out a loan and opening a grocery shop. She said she was earning 15-20 thousand per month and is teaching her children in good schools. Another sister said that after joining the group she changed after joining the group.

The Governor expressed happiness over the joining of self-help groups of more than 1 lakh women in Godda district and said that by joining the self-help groups, women are being empowered and the standard of living of their families is also improving. He suggested every woman become empowered by taking advantage of the schemes of the government and become self-reliant.

A School of Excellence Kasturba Gandhi Vidyalaya student said that a large number of children from poor families also study in this school. They are given a good education. Her dream is to become a teacher in the future and provide education to small girls.

On which the Governor said that the enthusiasm of the girls is overwhelming and expressed his hope for the girl’s success. He said that 7000 km in 21 districts have been constructed in the past. He has established dialogue with the villagers of Jharkhand by visiting more than 1000 and has also become aware of the status of the implementation of the schemes of government and the problems of the people. People’s problems will be resolved at the relevant level. On this occasion, observed the stalls set up by various departments and distributed the assets among the beneficiaries.
