Jharkhand Guv promises to honour University that scores good grades

Ranchi, Mar 2: The Jharkhand Governor cum Chancellor CP Radhakrishnan released a book on the state wise Analysis Report by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) in the presence of Vice Chancellors of all state and private universities in Jharkhand.

Notably, the analysis report was prepared as a book in 2020, under the expert guidance of the NAAC team and Dr Smriti Singh of Ranchi University. This book will soon be made available to all state and private universities, along with the NAAC’s website. With the release of this book, all three members of the NAAC team said that all the universities should prepare for NAAC according as per the report book.

The Governor, while addressing everyone said that a university cannot be called good only because of good buildings and facilities. “Good buildings and infrastructure are necessary, but the most important thing is good teaching, research and quality of teachers,” he added. He further promised to personally visit and honour the university which gets good grades.

Department of Higher and Technical Education secretary Rahul Purwar in his address said that the process of digitization will be completed in all universities and soon the shortage of teachers and personnel in all universities will also be taken care of. “We are going to make appointments for this,” he added.

Principal Secretary Nitin Madan Kulkarni and Vice Chancellors of all the universities of the state along with RU Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr Ajit Kumar Sinha, Registrar Dr Mukund Chandra Mehta, Professor of PG Chemistry Department Dr Smriti Singh and NAAC team members including Dr Nilesh Pandey, Dr Shrikant Swamy and Dr D K Kamle were present on the occasion.
