Ranchi, May 5: The Jharkhand High Court deferred hearing in a case related to Congress party senior leader Rahul Gandhi till June 16.
Earlier, on April 26 the hearing in the case was deferred for today as the court had time constraints of time.
The case arose after Gandhi during his campaign in Ranchi delivered a speech saying those who have Modi as surname are thieves. He presented the names of Narendra Modi, Nirav Modi and Lalit Modi as examples.
A complaint case was filed in the lower court demanding legal action against Gandhi for his derogatory and defamatory statement. Court summoned Gandhi, who moved the high court to recall the summons.
