Ranchi, Nov.10: The Jharkhand High Court, while hearing the petition of the shopkeepers of Giridih, has directed the Commissioner of the Giridih Municipal Corporation to be present physically on November 17 to let the court know the arrangement for the shop owners who lost their source of livelihood after the demolition of their 20-year-old shops for construction of a government building.
The situation came after shopkeepers knocked on the door of Jharkhand High Court repeatedly. First, they filed a petition in the Single Bench of the High Court against the removal of the shops which was dismissed. After this, they filed a petition to review the judgement before a larger bench.
